Welcome to TICKED OFF - your event industry talk show

Ticked Off is an annual event that is dedicated to the events community - where we inform, inspire, and entertain, as we tick off the hot industry topics of the day… and the challenges of tomorrow.

Our inaugural event took place on the 26th of September 2024. The Ticked Off Host was TV and radio broadcaster Edith Bowman, who was joined on-stage by a flurry of exceptional guests throughout the evening.

We heard from Head of Event Scotland Rebecca Edser, award winning CMO Pete Markey of Boots, CEO of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Jason Barrett, Director of the Edinburgh Book Festival Jenny Niven, Head of Studio Live at Reach PLC, Michelle Linaker,  Head of Brand at Edrington UK, Sarah McKerley and Founder and CEO of YOURGB, Gilly Bain.

Our audience of 120 was made up predominantly of leaders in their respective specialisms within the events industry. Invitations covered global brands, festival and event founders, corporate event leaders, event producers, industry representatives and governing bodies.

Edith bowman

Edith Bowman is a seasoned broadcaster and passionate advocate for the arts. Renowned for her dynamic presence and engaging storytelling, Edith has hosted some of the most prestigious events in the entertainment industry, including the BAFTAs and the Glastonbury Festival. She is also the host of Soundtracking and Netflix’s The Crown podcasts. Her deep understanding of event dynamics, combined with her charisma and ability to connect with diverse audiences, makes her the ideal host for our event industry gathering.
